Election Commission of India Introduces Know Your Candidate (KYC) App

The Know Your Candidate (KYC) app is a mobile application developed by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to help citizens know about the criminal antecedents of candidates contesting elections.

The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Here are some of the features of the KYC app:

• Voters can easily locate candidates by their names using the platform.
• The platform furnishes details regarding any criminal history of the candidates, if applicable.
• Voters can access updates on the current status of any legal proceedings against the candidates.
• The platform delineates the nature of offenses with which candidates have been charged.
• It is accessible on both Android and iOS devices for user convenience.
