Jabil, an Apple supplier, is planning to establish a new electronics manufacturing plant in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, with an investment of approximately ₹2,000 crore. This initiative is expected to create around 5,000 jobs and is part of a broader effort to bolster the electronics manufacturing sector in the region, which already hosts major suppliers like Foxconn and Pegatron.

This move aligns with Apple’s strategy to diversify its manufacturing operations outside of China.
