Trichy Panjappur Bus Stand
An integrated bus terminal is being developed in Panchapur, Trichy, on 115.68 acres at an estimated cost of Rs. 900 crore. Rs. 460 crore has been allocated for the first phase and the foundation stone was laid by the Chief Minister in December 2021. Administrative approval was received in June 2022.
With 93% of the work completed, authorities are taking steps to ensure full use soon. Designed to handle 2 lakh passengers, work is in full swing to open it on March 31. Currently, Omni buses will operate from the Central Bus Stand.
Officials have informed that the inauguration ceremony of the Trichy Panchapur Integrated Bus Stand will be held in July 2025.
The integrated bus stand to be built in Panchapur, Trichy is being developed with various state-of-the-art facilities:
- City bus stand
- Private omni bus stand
- Lorry terminal
- Fire station
- Police station
- Post office
- Spacious waiting areas
- High-quality restaurants, shops
- Modern toilet facilities
- 24/7 drinking water, security services
When this project is fully implemented, it will have the capacity to handle 2 lakh passengers daily.
