With the Tamilnadu state government’s announcement of resuming local bus services within the districts, bus services in Trichy resumed today with strict guidelines for passengers.
Similarly, TNSTC is resuming intercity bus operations in Tamilnadu except the red zone containment zone of Chennai.
Guidelines for Bus Passengers:
- A maximum of two people will be allowed to be seated in three-row seats
- Only one person should be seated in two-row seats in mofussil buses
- None will be allowed to stand and only 30-32 of the 50-odd seats will be allowed to be filled.
- There will be a minimum 180 cm gap between passengers
- Passengers without mask will not be allowed to board the bus.
- They should strictly board only though rear entrance and exit through the front entrance.
- They will be given disinfection liquid to sanitise their hands
- There will be water and soaps for enabling passengers to wash their hands at terminals.
- Bus Conductor and driver will be screened for temperature before allowing them to work. They will be given masks, hand sanitisers and gloves.
- Tendering exact change will be helpful
