Two months after the flight operations in Tiruchirappalli International Airport was stopped for commercial flights, the first domestic flight landed in the airport on Monday (25th May 2020).
The flight from Bengaluru (BLR) arrived with 66 passengers and departed back with 52 passengers from Trichy. While the central government did not mandate quarantine for domestic flight passengers, several states including Tamilnadu have announced 14days home quarantine.
COVID-19 protocol prescribed by the government is followed at the Trichy International Airport (TRZ) to screen all incoming and outgoing passengers.
